Fall Fruit Share - 2025
Fall Fruit Share - 2025
The fruit is sourced through our friends at Wards Berry Farm, they source from farms that are not certified organic but rather use integrated pest management (IPM) managing pest damage with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment, read more about IPM here. The fruit is sourced from local farms compared to what you might see in the grocery store where fruit comes from all over the country and world. The locality of farms can range from lower regions of Quebec to a few towns over in Sharon. Our fruit share supports sustainability by supporting a local wholesaler, shortening supply chains with fewer food miles, and fostering community by supporting a network of local farms, putting capital back into the local economy. The fruit share is a streamlined experience for our CSA members to add local, high-quality, seasonal fruit in their kitchen with the convenience of picking it up at the same time as their veggie CSA on the farm!
Typically, the fall consists of late-season berries, such as a half pint of raspberries, a pound of cranberries, four pounds of a variety of apples and pears, or a combination of those items.
